Gillingham have made the trip to Italy with an experienced campaigner boasting Premier League experience apparently in tow.
Eagle-eyed Gills fans were quick to spot former Millwall man Scott Malone boarding the plane to Italy. The 32-year-old is looking for a new club after being released in the summer.

The Gills haven’t confirmed his attendance on the tour but it’s understood the 32-year-old has made the trip and could feature in Wednesday’s game against Serie B side Como.
Malone, who plays on the left side in either defence or midfield, is a free agent following his release by Millwall, who he has played for in two separate spells.
He started his career at Wolves and went onto play for Bournemouth before his first stint at Millwall.
He joined Cardiff City in January 2015, despite interest from German giants Borussia Dortmund.
Malone has also played in the Championship for Fulham and then for Huddersfield in the Premier League before moving to Derby in the second tier and then a return to Millwall, playing 32 games for them last season before being released.
Millwall boss Gary Rowett, speaking about Malone’s release, told London News Online: “Scottie came in and did really, really well – in particular that first season when he was outstanding in the wing-back role. He’s a really good lad.
“He didn’t play as much, certainly second half of the season, maybe down to the switch of formation. That’s quite difficult to keep people fresh and happy.
“He was brilliant. Up until the last time he gave everything he had. He’s a fantastic footballer.”
The Gills have already signed left-back Max Clark but don’t have an abundance of cover on that side, with Robbie McKenzie and Cheye Alexander preferring to play on the right.
Gillingham did offer a new deal to David Tutonda but he’s looking for a club who can give him regular starts while young full-back Bailey Akehurst was released along with Lewis Page, who only made three substitute appearances last season.
Manager Neil Harris is keen for another striker, a wide man, a left-sided central defender and “something a bit different” but all options are being explored as the club look to build on a positive end to their last campaign.
