Defender Joe Martin will miss out on facing former team Gillingham this week after picking up a ban for abusive language towards a match official.
The 32-year-old, who started 150 league games for the Gills between 2010 and 2015, joined Northampton Town in the summer.
Martin picked up his second red card of the season after being dismissed for a second bookable offence in a 2-1 defeat to Crewe Alexandra but faced extra disciplinary charges following his reaction to the decision.
He was subsequently charged by the Football Association of using abusive language towards a match official, which he admitted and was fined £1,200, as well as an additional game ban, meaning he misses the match against Gillingham on Tuesday night.
An FA statement said: “The defender admitted that his language towards a match official was improper, abusive and insulting both following his dismissal in the 69th minute of the match and in or around the tunnel area at the end of the match.”
Martin, now 32, was a title winner for the Gills when they won League 2 in 2013 and went onto play for Millwall and Stevenage before moving to Northampton in the summer.
