Emmanuel Oloyede and Jack Evans both scored twice as Chatham hit five first-half goals in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round on Saturday.
Chats eased through with a 6-0 win at Midhurst & Easebourne. They raced into a two-goal lead inside 12 minutes through Dan Bradshaw and Evans.
Oloyede then struck either side of a Fabio Saraiva strike, Evans completing the tally after the break.
Two goals in the first half-hour ensured Ashford were always in control against Hanworth Villa at Homelands.
Adem Ramadan’s sixth-minute opener was doubled by Lauric Diakiesse, Sam Merson’s late penalty was not enough for Villa.
Warren Mfula struck twice as Sheppey were on course for an upset against Isthmian Premier opponents at Holm Park.
But visitors Lewes’ response was swift and immediate as Joe Taylor and Razz Coleman replied in the space of four minutes to set up a replay on Tuesday night. Sheppey finished with 10 men after Dan Birch collected two yellow cards.
That will be Sheppey’s sixth FA Cup tie of the campaign – they’ve needed a replay in both the two previous rounds before progressing – and means their midweek league game at Hythe has been postponed again.
Daniel Bennett scored twice as Cray Valley did produce an upset by defeating higher-league Hastings. The teams were in the same division last season as champions Hastings raced to the title.
But the Millers exacted a small measure of revenge with Bennett scoring in either half to add to Sonny Black’s early header for Kevin Watson’s men.
Sevenoaks also defeated higher-league opponents as they knocked out Kingstonian 2-1 at Greatness Park.
Ryan Gondoh ran from inside his own half before giving Sevenoaks the lead midway through the first half.
He then added a second in the second half and while Louis Collins replied for Kingstonian, Sevenoaks held on during 10 minutes of stoppage time to reach the Second Qualifying Round for only the second time in their history.
Ibrahim Olutade came off the bench to ensure Folkestone overcame North Greenford.
Josh Vincent’s early header was cancelled out by Joe Mills just past the hour mark.
That led Folkestone boss Neil Cugley to call for Olutade and he delivered, heading in Kadell Daniel’s free-kick with 13 minutes left.
Daniel completed a 3-1 win in the 90th minute with an excellent finish.
Mike West made his first start of the campaign as Herne Bay overcame Horsham at Ramsgate.
Mason Saunders-Henry’s fine finish put Bay ahead, and the lead was doubled before the break when Marcel Barrington rounded the keeper to convert.
Daniel Ajakaiye’s late penalty ensured a nervy finale and it needed a fine save by Bay keeper Jordan Perrin to ensure his team progressed.
At least one Southern Counties East side were guaranteed to be in Monday’s draw, and it was Phoenix Sports who brushed aside Rusthall with a 4-1 victory.
Marcus Elliott scored twice in the opening half-hour before Ryan Hayes added a third just before half-time.
Manny Oshinowo scored Phoenix’s fourth goal and ensured Dan Blunn’s reply was little more than a consolation.
Phoenix are joined in the hat by Fisher, who were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Spelthorne Sports.
Manny Shoderu’s second-half penalty cancelled out a 10th-minute opener by Josh Remedios and the teams will meet again on Tuesday night.
Substitute James Allen netted with four minutes left to secure Corinthian a 2-2 draw at Met Police.
Oscar Housego’s first-half penalty had earlier cancelled out Govl Kadar’s early spot-kick before Oliver Knight put the Police ahead again after the break.
Ryan King-Elliot scored a late consolation for VCD in a 5-1 defeat at Steve McKimm’s Carshalton, for whom Tom Beere had opened the scoring.
Hythe were knocked out 2-0 at home by Hayes & Yeading while Beckenham and Cray Wanderers both have home midweek replays.
Gary Lockyer scored his first Cray goal in a 2-2 draw at Bognor, Michael Ademiluyi also netting, while Beckenham’s Louie Theophanous netted twice at East Grinstead, the second a close-range finish after his initial spot-kick was saved.
On Friday night, Harvey Smith scored the winner as 10-man Margate won 1-0 at Aylesbury United while Erith Town were knocked out 2-1 at Three Bridges, Alfie Eldridge scoring for the Dockers.
