Gillingham pair Jordan Graham and Callum Slattery remain injury doubts for the midweek match against Peterborough United.
Joint top-scorer Graham picked up a deadleg in the recent match against Lincoln City at Priestfield while Callum Slattery tweaked his groin. Both missed the weekend win at Charlton.
Both are big players for the Gills, Graham with his goals, assists and all-action play on the wing and recent addition Slattery with his steel in the middle of the park. Beating Charlton without them was a bit of a boost.
“They are big players but we are not just about Callum and Jordan,” said boss Steve Evans.
“Jordan got a deadleg quite late on in the game when we lost to Lincoln and it was quite a nasty challenge but these thing happen. He has been trying to shake it off.
“I made the decision on Thursday that he wouldn’t be ready for us (to play against Charlton). We had to prepare the team. He probably won’t be ready for us on Tuesday and neither will Callum.
“We will give them every opportunity. We had limited numbers at Charlton and all we had available to us was on the teamsheet.
“We have the smallest squad in the league but whether it’s two, three or four on the bench, it is what we have.
“Yes it is the smallest squad but at least we know we will get paid. We got paid on payday. Five clubs I think in the EFL have not paid. That is not right for football because these people have bills and mortgages the same as us all.”
