Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon insisted his team are doing their own thing after thrashing Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday night.
The Fleet’s goalscoring exploits were almost matched by title rivals Maidenhead, who beat Oxford City 6-1.
It means both sides have taken six points from two home games in the space of four days – with Maidenhead remaining a point clear in the title race.

“We’re not matching anyone,” insisted McMahon, “We’re just doing what we’re doing and they’re doing what they’re doing.
“We’re focused on what we’re doing and that’s all we can do. I don’t know (if it’s going to go to the wire), who knows?
“There’s still seven games to go, it’s a long way to go still.”
McMahon was thrilled by his team’s performance against relegation certainties Stortford, even though it was a game they were expected to win.
Three goals to the good at half-time, the Fleet added five more goals to complete a club-record victory with Darren McQueen and Anthony Cook both bagging hat-tricks.
““The performance was the pleasing thing, it was outstanding especially in the second half and the goals were the icing on the cake," said McMahon.
“I said to the players at half-time that the game was over after the first half.
“They can either make the first half exciting for everyone or boring for everyone. I’ve played in both as sometimes you go out and lose your sharpness.
“We just asked them to make everyone excited and when the final whistle goes to still have 1,200 fans in the ground clapping you off.
“Make sure everyone isn’t bored after 20 minutes of the second half and they’ve all gone home to watch EastEnders or Coronation Street. The performance in the second half made everyone stay.”
