Callum Fowler picked up two awards when Invicta Dynamos celebrated their trophy-winning season at their presentation night last Friday.
The 23-year-old forward, in his fifth season with the club, scored 44 goals and made 82 assists for a total of 126 points – only two less than he scored last year – and picked up both the Player-of-the-Year award and the Supporters’ Player-of-the-Year trophy.
Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish, whose side won the NIHL Southern Cup, said: “Callum’s points product shows how important he is to the team. He was voted into the league’s All-Star Team of the Season and can turn games all on his own.”
Parrish’s vote for the Coach’s Player of the Year went to Nicky Lewis and the Mos chief said: “It’s Nicky’s professionalism and attitude towards the game which makes him stand out.
Team captain Anthony Leone won the Players’ Player-of-the-Year and Parrish said: “Anthony’s leadership has been invaluable to the team throughout the season but it’s not just his captaincy, he brings a lot more than that to the team.”
Juraj Huska, who finished the season with 131 points, won the Forward of the Year award while the Defenceman of the Year trophy went to Arran Strawson.
