The no-nonsense central defender was a popular player with former club Peterborough United and spent a season with Northampton before making the switch to Gillingham in the summer of 2017. Earlier in his career he enjoyed a loan spell at Stoke City under Tony Pulis, helping them win promotion to the Premier League. The DR Congo international captain joined to add much-needed experience to a Gills defence who struggled in the 2016/17 campaign.
