Gillingham’s game at Walsall’s Poundland Stadium has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 11, 2025 – days after a trip to Barrow

Gillingham’s loyal supporters will be putting in the miles during February after the Walsall away match has been added to an already busy month.

The Gills’ game at Walsall’s Poundland Stadium was due to be played on Saturday, November 16 but has now been arranged for for a date in February, a month where they also travel to Cumbrian sides Carlisle and Barrow.

Gillingham will now head to Walsall on Tuesday, February 11 - three days after the away match against Stephen Clemence’s Barrow.

That match in Barrow is the first of two trips to Cumbria in the space of a fortnight.

Gillingham’s match at Walsall was postponed because their opponents had three or more players called up for international duty. Coincidentally, the home game against Walsall, currently scheduled for Saturday, March 22, also falls on an ‘international weekend’.

Following their trip to Walsall and a home game against Crewe on the Saturday, the following weekend the Gills are back on the road with a trek to Carlisle - a 700-mile round trip give or take.

With a trip to Barrow and the rearranged Walsall game added in, Gillingham’s followers will be racking up the miles, well over 1,500 for the three matches.

Gillingham have plenty of other long distance journeys to take in during the second half of the season, starting 2025 at Chesterfield for a Sunday afternoon clash on January 5.

The Gills visit Tranmere at the end of January and Grimsby Town days later for a Tuesday night clash.

The spring sees them head to South Wales for a Tuesday night game in Newport on March 4, a game in Accrington on the 15th and Harrogate Town at the end of the month.

April sees Mark Bonner’s team travel to Salford on Saturday, April 5 and head west on Good Friday with a game at Cheltenham.
