Gillingham have signed midfielder Callum Slattery on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old is the third Southampton player to join the Gills this season, with Tom O'Connor and Tyreke Johnson already at Priestfield.
Boss Steve Evans has already stated he wants to make Johnson's switch a permanent one.
Evans said: "Callum is an excellent addition to the group. He is very highly thought of at Southampton and he is here to further his education.
"There is no doubt he is a talented boy and that is the reason he had lots of clubs keen to secure him on loan.”
Slattery is available for this Saturday's trip to Accrington in League 1.
He started his career at Chelsea before making his Southampton debut in January 2019 in the FA Cup.
Slattery has represented England at under-16, 17 and 20 level and spent last season on loan with De Graafschap in Holland.
