Gillingham have hinted that one of their trialists is to be handed a deal at the club.
Mustapha Carayol, 32, has been involved with the Gills over the last few weeks and played against Norwich City on Tuesday.
The winger impressed boss Steve Evans in that match against Norwich and included him in the official team photoshoot on Thursday.
A tweet from the Gills said: “Gaffer names Carayol in official squad photo....looks like the talented wide player is joining the Gills. More to follow.”
Carayol is one of several trialists who have been looking to earn a deal, including former Birmingham man Dan Crowley.
Potential new signing Carayol last played for Turkish side Adana Demirspor and before that had a year at Cypriot club Apollon Limassol.
Born in the Gambia, his footballing career began in England and he has played for numerous clubs, including weekend visitors Lincoln City. Torquay, Bristol Rovers, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town are also among his former clubs.
Former Gills midfielder Matty Willock, meanwhile, has signed for League 2 Salford City on a one-year deal. He left Priestfield this summer after two years at the club where he struggled to make an impact.
