Gillingham reduce ticket prices for Easter Monday's League 1 match against Fleetwood at Priestfield

Gillingham have reduced ticket prices in a bid to pack Priestfield for their relegation showdown against Fleetwood on Easter Monday.

Heading into the Easter weekend, Gillingham and Fleetwood are level on points. The Gills go to mid-table Cheltenham on Friday before returning home for their second game in four days.

Gillingham sit 21st in the table on 38 points, occupying the final relegation place, while Morecambe and Fleetwood are ahead of them courtesy of a better goal difference.

Fleetwood have a game in hand which they play on the Tuesday before the last weekend, at home to high-flying Sheffield Wednesday.

It’s set to up to be quite a battle with two of four clubs likely to join Doncaster and already-relegated Crewe in League 2 next season.

Gillingham want to “get Priestfield rocking” for the big holiday clash and while adults pay £15 for the match, senior tickets cost £10 and under-18s are free. Most of the Rainham End seats had already been sold out by close of play on Tuesday.

Once that game is over, the Gills will have just two matches left, away to Portsmouth on Saturday, April 23rd and at home to promotion-chasing Rotherham on the last day (April 30).

In a message to fans, the Gills say: “The management, players and staff all appreciate your fantastic support, and we want the place to be rocking as we go in search of three potentially decisive points as the Gills look to preserve their League 1 status for the 2022/23 campaign.

“The club were 10 points adrift of safety when Neil Harris took charge on transfer deadline day, but now the Gills are only in the relegation zone by virtue of an inferior goal difference!”

Ticket purchased can be made from the club in person on Thursday between 10am and 4pm or between 9am and kick off on the day of the match. The club’s offices will be closed between those times but tickets can be bought online.
