Gillingham keep season ticket prices at Priestfield Stadium frozen for the 2025/26 season in League 2

Gillingham have frozen prices on their season tickets for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Gills have decided to keep prices in all sections for all age groups the same as they are for the current campaign.

New manager Gareth Ainsworth hopes he can turn the club’s fortunes around and the Gills say they are “determined to make 2025/26 a season to remember at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.”

In promoting the new sales, the Gills said: “We are indebted to our magnificent fan base who continue to support us tirelessly both at home and on the road.

“Last summer we once again broke the all-time record for season ticket sales and we are determined to make MEMS Priestfield Stadium a fortress once more.”

Outright talk of a promotion challenge next season isn’t something the club’s bosses are shouting about now, after setting the new boss a two-year plan to focus on getting the processes right, hoping that in turn leads to a winning team.

No explicit targets have been set publicly after Ainsworth signed a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Ainsworth said: “I aim to make the (fans) positive about their club again and to invest in this journey that we want to start together.”

The owners have previously spoken of their determination to get out of League 2 as quickly as possible but have endured another frustrating campaign, heading into April sitting 19th in the table.

Gillingham finished 12th last season after Stephen Clemence took over as head coach midway through, replacing Neil Harris.

Mark Bonner started off this season at the helm but was fired at the end of the year and replaced by John Coleman, on a deal for the remainder of the campaign. He lasted 14 games.

Ainsworth’s come in for the remaining nine games, ahead of a summer rebuild, and a focus on bringing some much-needed joy to some excitement-starved fans.

The new boss said: “I want the Gillingham fans to have a club they're proud of and a club that will attract players.

“Right down to training ground and facilities and everything like that, I think we need to make sure that it's set up for winning games and that's where we're coming with the culture side.

“It's not just about getting me the best players and spending all the money on the best players, there's all sorts of little things that need putting in place.

“When you go through your tough periods you fall on your structure and your identity and that's a big thing, let's get this club an identity.”

And the new boss has spoken recently about how he wants that to look now he’s at the helm.

He said: “We have an attacking style. We have a front-foot style. We often press. We're very adaptable from game to game, which I think is a real big plus in the modern game. You have to be adaptable.

“We often get at teams. One thing that I'll guarantee is that every player who puts a Gillingham shirt on will empty the tank on that pitch. I'll empty the tank on the side of the pitch. I believe that as a football fan, which I am myself, that's all you ever want to see from your players.

“You can accept win, lose or draw, but I believe when you empty the tank, when you put all those processes in place, winning becomes a by-product of that and then we all know what a lot of wins get you.

“It’s one step at a time. I want to work with these boys, make sure that they understand exactly what it takes to play for me and see them do it. I'm very early in my tenure and so far so good, but a long way to go.”

Adult tickets in the Rainham End cost £365 while they’re from £390 in the Magnus Search Medway Stand and start at £355 in the Gordon Road.

Under-14s can go all season from £60 when purchased alongside an accompanying over-18 season ticket.

Current season ticket holders have until 5pm, May 30 to reserve their existing seat for the new campaign. Payment plans are also available.

Incentives include a 5% discount in the club shop and cup game priority “when possible.” Season tickets are transferable at no extra cost.

Gillingham have an average home crowd of around 5,700, with support not surprisingly dropping off after an impressive start to the season quickly fell away from October onwards.

The 2025/26 League 2 season will kick off on the weekend of August 2-3, 2025.
