Ady Pennock is confident they will have Conor Wilkinson’s red card overturned.
The Gills head coach felt referee John Busby’s decision to send the striker off was wrong on Saturday.
Wilkinson was red-carded in the 75th minute after throwing his body, feet first, at an attempted clearance by Bradford’s Timothee Dieng.
The Bradford player went down following the challenge although many in the crowd felt there was no contact. Pennock agreed.
He said: “I have seen the DVD and we will definitely be appealing it.
“Conor hasn’t gone for the player, I could see fresh air. We will appeal it and I am 90% sure we would win the appeal.”
Earlier in the game Wilkinson went down in the area under the challenge of Tony McMahon, but Mr Busby waved away Gills’ appeals for a penalty.
“I thought it was a pen,” said Pennock. “The (Bradford) lad dangled his foot, he came from behind and he (Wilkinson) went down.
“I was just waiting for the referee to point to the spot. There were some big decisions that didn’t go our way.”
