Gillingham manager Steve Evans has been given a one-match touchline ban and fined £1,000.
The FA have handed down the punishment after Evans was sent off during the Gills' Carabao Cup win at Crawley last week.
Evans was furious following a tackle by Ludwig Francillette on young striker Gerald Sithole in front of the Gills bench - branding it a "leg-breaking challenge".
He accepted a charge of using abusive and insulting words towards a match official and will be in the stands for Saturday's home game against Morecambe.
"Everyone in the ground knew it was a red card challenge," said Evans, following Gillingham's penalty shoot-out victory.
"Whatever the referee thinks I have said then I have no problem confirming it but what I said shouldn't have put me up there (in the stand).
"It was a shocking challenge. It was a leg-breaking challenge if I am being honest."
