Justin Edinburgh hasn’t lost any faith in his Gills players despite their slump in form.
The Gillingham boss remains convinced that they can hold their nerve and clinch a League 1 play-off place.
The 1-1 midweek draw at Rochdale keeps them inside the top six on goal difference.
Three games remain, starting at home to relegation threatened Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Edinburgh said: “We have two at home and one away and it is getting tighter but we have a lot of belief in this group of players.
“They have shown a lot of resilience and character and if we carry that through to the end of the season, then I think we will be OK.
“We have overachieved but now there are expectations that come with it and we have found it difficult. I know this group will go right to the end and they won’t have left anything on the pitch.
“If it is not enough then so be it but we have enough to get there.”
Gills are five unbeaten away but their home form, which for much of the season was the best in the country, has recently deserted them, losing their last two.
Edinburgh said: “We have done well away and have to try and recreate that home form as it had been for a large majority of the year."
