Carabao Cup Third Round draw: Brentford v Gillingham

Gillingham have been handed an away tie against Premier League opposition in the Third Round of the Carabao Cup.

The Gills, who came through on penalties against League 1 Exeter on Tuesday night at Priestfield, will visit Brentford in early November.

The draw saw Premier League big guns including champions Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all in the 'hat' but Gills were the final team picked out.

Gillingham last reached the Third Round in the 2020/21 season, losing 1-0 at Stoke City while in the 2016/17 campaign they also got to this stage, going out 5-0 at Tottenham.
