Experienced Gillingham duo Shaun Williams and Glenn Morris have signed new deals to stay at the club.
They’ve both impressed as part of the squad which has steered the Gills away from relegation danger in League 2 during the second half of the campaign.
The length of their contract has not been disclosed but it is likely to be a 12-month deal given their veteran status.
Former Millwall and Portsmouth midfielder Williams joined Gillingham last summer and has been a mainstay of their team at the age of 36. He will miss the final two matches of the season through injury.
"I'm very happy to be staying at the club,” said Williams.
“The second half of this season has been excellent and I am excited for the future.
"I enjoy playing here, we'll do our best to finish this season in a positive fashion and carry the momentum into 2023/24.”
Morris, 39, was allowed to join Gillingham initially on loan from Crawley before the start of the season and then made that deal permanent halfway through the campaign.
The former Leyton Orient keeper has firmly established himself as the number one choice between the sticks with a series of impressive displays.
Morris said: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract at the club.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed being back at Priestfield and I am excited to see what the next 12 months hold.
“The fans have been superb and I look forward to sharing more great moments with them.”
The duo join right-back Cheye Alexander, who triggered a new deal having reached a number of appearances this season, and long-serving centre-back Max Ehmer in extending their stays at Priestfield.
