Gillingham will meet Martin Allen’s Barnet in a pre-season friendly.

Justin Edinburgh’s Gills team will travel to The Hive on Saturday, July 23 (kick-off 3pm).

Allen led Gillingham to the League 2 title in 2013 before being fired early on the following season.

A return to Barnet saw Allen take them out of the Conference, after pipping Bristol Rovers to the title.

Last season Barnet, who include former Gills players Curtis Weston and Gavin Hoyte in their team, finished 15 in League 2.

The Gills have already announced games at Dartford (July 26) and Leyton Orient (July 30).

National League side Braintree have announced a game against the Gills on Tuesday, July 19.
