Gillingham utility-man Aaron Morris has put pen to paper on a new two year deal.
The 26-year-old Welshman has been a regular in the Gills team under boss Justin Edinburgh, fulfilling a number of roles in the side.
He joined the Gills two years ago, having had spells at AFC Wimbledon and Aldershot previously. He started his career at Cardiff City.
Over the last two seasons he has gone onto make 58 league appearances for the club, mainly in midfield and at right-back.
Morris was delighted to seal the deal and can’t wait for the new season to start.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “I feel we’re moving forward and it’s an exciting time to be a part of this team.
“I can’t wait to get back playing again now. It’s nice having a break over the summer, but that itch to get back to it hit me a couple of weeks ago.”
Morris was one of three senior out of contract players that Edinburgh had been keen to re-sign.
Goalkeeper Stuart Nelson and midfielder Josh Wright have both been out of the country on holiday but hopes remain that the pair will also sign new terms.
In what has been a busy few days for the Gills, former Newport man Mark Byrne and ex Bradford City player Billy Knott have joined the club on two year deals.
