Justin Edinburgh is confident the goals will return.
The Gills manager watched his side claim a point on Saturday with a goalless draw against Sheffield United, the second in a row.
While the Gills have become mean in defence of late, the goals have dried up at the other end.
He said: “It’s pleasing to have five clean sheets in six now, we just have to find a way to get that first goal because we have defensive qualities and then we can start securing a few victories.
“We are making good decisions defensively but in the final and middle third and on the turnover of possession, I thought we could have really counter-attacked Sheffield United.
“There were real opportunities for us but we just didn’t make that first pass the right one or the right decision but that will come and we are more than confident that we will get among the goals shortly.”
