Gillingham will be hoping there is no lasting damage to striker Cody McDonald after going off injured on Saturday.
McDonald was substituted at the break after taking a whack from home keeper Jordan Archer. It was a foul that led to Archer’s dismissal and Gillingham scoring from the spot.
Boss Justin Edinburgh said: “It ceased up at half time and we will have to assess that.”
The manager was, however, boosted by the return of front-man Luke Norris, back in the side for the first time in two months, having recovered quickly from an ankle injury.
He came on as a late substitute in the 3-0 win at Millwall.
“I am pleased for Luke,” said the manager.
“He has worked very hard and he wasn’t due back until well into January. He has got back in mid December and that is credit to him.
“It is a big boost to us right now because we are going to need the full squad going into the busy Christmas period.”
Missing out of the side was Brennan Dickenson.
“That was down to selection,” the Gills boss confirmed.
“We have to make sure we are keeping everyone involved and there are tough decisions.”
