Gillingham boss Steve Lovell isn’t concerned by Rotherham’s winning form.
The Millers scored twice in stoppage time last Saturday to beat Doncaster 2-1 – their seventh straight win in League 1.
It’s form that has secured the Yorkshire side a position inside the top six but Lovell knows anything can happen on the day.
He said: “They are in form but we’ve been on a good run and we had a poor 45 minutes (last) Saturday. It can happen to teams in this league. Everyone is beating each other.
“They scored with a late penalty against Doncaster on Saturday and they keep going right to the end. They are a well-organised team but I thought up there, we took them apart.
“We have to look at the way we played them up there and the way we can get around them down here.
“It doesn’t matter about form. It goes out the window on Saturday. Form changes, that’s what happens.
“We had a good January, not such a good February, that is the way trends go. Now we have to pick up again in March and April.”
The Gills have some hard games in March but Lovell can’t wait.
He said: “It’s exciting. They are good games to play in and we can’t wait, we have some great games coming up this month.
“Rotherham and Portsmouth, Blackburn and Bradford, four great games to go and play in. We have to enjoy it and keep doing what we’ve been doing.”
Gillingham look set to have Gabriel Zakuani available this weekend, despite coming off injured at Bury on Saturday.
