Holcombe head coach Kwan Browne has taken his tally of summer signings to eight.
New Zealand international Tim Neild has been announced as Browne's latest addition.
Neild, who has just turned 25, has been capped in both indoor and outdoor hockey by his country and joins fellow Kiwis Brad Read and Matt Symonds, who he played alongside at the recent 2024 Indoor World Cup Oceania Qualifier, at the club.
He has six caps in outdoor hockey and three in indoor for the Black Sticks and also won 12 caps at under-21 level, scoring two goals.
Neild has also played in a number of Ford National Hockey Tier One Championships in New Zealand and been involved in three Sentinel Homes North vs. South matches.
On joining the club, he said: “I'm extremely excited for this new chapter.
"Holcombe has some strong Kiwi connections and I can't wait to begin working with Kwan and the group.”
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “Tim comes to us with an impressive work ethic and senior international experience which will be a massive boost to our playing strength.”
Fellow Kiwi Symonds is another recent addition, rejoining the club six years on from his previous spell.
He has six goals in 15 caps for the Black Sticks and recently featured in Oceania Indoor World Cup qualifying where his side were edged 2-1 by Australia in a three-match series.
“I’m incredibly excited to be rejoining Holcombe, after a hiatus back home in New Zealand,” he said.
“The squad is looking in good shape with some familiar faces and some strong new signings.
“Kwan has a fantastic reputation and I’m looking forward to working him and seeing what we can achieve.”
Holcombe have also signed two Pakistan internationals.
Ali Shan, 30, has 150 caps and previously captained his country.
He’s played in numerous Champions Trophy and World League competitions, as well as multiple Asia Cups.
He also played in the 2018 Commonwealth Games and has 31 international goals.
“I’m excited to join Holcombe, one of the best clubs in the country which has a rich history,” said Shan.
“I spoke to Kwan and I was impressed to hear his vision, plan and goals to take the club to the top.”
Shan has been joined by countryman Mubashar Ali, a man with 36 goals in 56 matches for Pakistan.
He’s appeared at two Commonwealth Games and multiple Asia Cups and Champions Trophy events.
“I am very happy to begin my journey with Holcombe,” said Ali.
“I am super excited and honoured to be joining the Holcombe family.
“I am looking forward to learning from experienced players and coaches and making new friendships while contributing to the team’s success.”
Holcombe have also announced several departures with New Zealanders Hayden Phillips and Hattie Jones moving on.
Men’s first-team players Phil Roper - who will play for Great Britain in the Paris Olympics this summer - and South African Tim Guise-Brown are also leaving.
