Holcombe Hockey Club powered to victory in the Men’s Indoor EHL Division 2 South at Tonbridge over the weekend.
They won four of their five matches, and drew the other, to finish top of the table and book a place in the Division 1 qualifiers at Staines later this month.
Player-coach Dave Mathews was the star of the show, scoring 11 goals, while Holcombe’s two keepers, 39-year-old Sean Parker and 17-year-old Diccon Stubbings, also did well.
