Gillingham will meet Ipswich in the EFL Trophy for the second season running.
The League 1 rivals were paired in Group B of the southern section alongside Crawley Town of League 2 when the draw was made yesterday.
The final spot, confirmed this afternoon, has been filled by Arsenal's under-21s.
Much-changed Gillingham lost 4-0 at Ipswich in last season’s group stage, a result that saw them eliminated with a game to play.
Either side of that, the Gills lost 3-2 to Colchester but finished with a flourish, beating Tottenham’s youngsters’ 2-0 at Priestfield, Alex Jakubiak and Jack Tucker the scorers.
