Manager-chairman Kevin Hake is excited to test his Chatham side against higher-league opposition - as they set their sights on a double this season.
Chats will return to action at the Bauvill Stadium for their Kent Senior Cup Semi-Final tonight, just three days after they beat Cray Valley 2-1 in front of another bumper crowd of 2,329 to be crowned Isthmian South East champions.
A place in the Final at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium on May 3 is at stake as they welcome National League South Welling.
“We can just enjoy it now,” said Hake, whose team also reached the Velocity Cup Semi-Final before they lost to promotion-chasing Isthmian Premier outfit Aveley on penalties after a 1-1 draw last month.
“The fans will come out for us again, I’m sure. It’s a nice stage to be at.
“You never know. They’re a good team in National League South so it’ll be nice to test ourselves against them.”
The Wings, 18th in their league, suffered a 3-0 weekend defeat at St Albans.
They have seen off Sittingbourne and National League South champions Ebbsfleet to reach this stage of the competition while Chats have got the better of Ashford and Corinthian - both on penalties - along with Dover.
Chatham player-assistant Danny Kedwell (calf) came off injured against Cray Valley and is unlikely to be fit.
