Winger Jordan Graham emphasised that Gillingham don't fear anyone in the division and are targeting three points when they visit league-leaders Hull City on Saturday.
The Gills have taken 14 points from a possible 21 in their last seven games which is an impressive return, and the confidence is now flowing in the dressing room.
He said: "We'd probably take a draw against a side who are doing well, but given the run we're on, I don't think anyone is thinking about a draw at all. I think we're going there to win the game.
"We made a Portsmouth side look bang average, we made an Ipswich side look bang average, and we made a good Lincoln side look bang average last week."
While Graham and his team-mates are delighted to be in the hunt for a play-off spot, he expressed his slight disappointment at the team's consistency this campaign:
"We're currently two points off the play-offs and we haven't actually had that great of a season consistency wise.
"When we've had a couple of good results, we've then followed that up with a poor result normally against a team we should beat," he added.
Along with Vadaine Oliver and Kyle Dempsey, Graham has been one of the club's standout players this term – netting 10 goals in the league. With his contract expiring in the summer, concern will be growing amongst Gills supporters regarding his future.
Graham commented on this, and his goalscoring exploits by saying:
"I've just concentrated on my football and there's been no distractions for me; my priority is trying to help Gillingham get into the play-offs.
"If someone had offered me this season I've had on a personal level, I'd have bitten their arm off."
Highly regarded as a youngster at Wolves, Graham has had rotten luck with injuries throughout his career. But now he's settled at Priestfield, he's demonstrated his capabilities thanks to, in his words, the support from the club and its supporters.
"Outside of my Wolves career, the Gillingham fans this season have been the best I've ever experienced.
"Gillingham gave me a chance when not too many clubs did. I just wanted to repay the faith of the manager and the fans," he added.
He mentioned that the Gills players are often studying the league table, and even revealed that he spent his evening on Tuesday checking the League 1 scores every few minutes.
To his and the whole Gillingham fanbase's annoyance, automatic promotion contender Peterborough United were beaten by play-off rival Blackpool.
The players believe they can reach the play-offs according to Graham, but they are aware that such a feat will require a huge effort.
"We don't want the season to die out. We don't want it to end on us.
"I've seen crazier things happen in football than Gillingham getting in the play-offs this season," he said.
