Gillingham have allowed defender Christian Maghoma to join National League side Eastleigh on loan.
Maghoma has been transfer listed since the end of last season and moves out of Priestfield on a deal that initially runs until January.
Eastleigh boss Ben Strevens - who briefly played for the Gills - was pleased to have captured the former Spurs man after watching him against Crawley Town in the recent League Cup match.
Strevens said: “He’s got all the attributes to do well in the National League and hopefully he does so with us.
“I’d also like to thank Paul Scally (the Gillingham chairman) and (manager) Steve Evans at Gillingham, who were first class to deal with in getting Christian signed.”
Maghoma played for the Spitfires in a match against Brentford B on Friday. Their league campaign starts next Saturday (August 28) against Wrexham.
The defender was an unused sub for the Gills in their previous league match but his only start came against Crawley in the League Cup. He managed only four league starts last term.
