Gillingham coach Steve Lovell has left the club.

Lovell had been first team coach during the 2015/16 season, working under manager Justin Edinburgh.

He stayed on after a successful spell as part of the caretaker management team when Peter Taylor was sacked.

Gills boss Edinburgh said: "Steve has been an integral part of the coaching team and I would like to thank him for his dedicated work since I joined the club.

"It goes without saying that I'd like to wish him the best of luck for the future."

Also leaving the club is performance analyst Nick Gearing.
