Despite Bradford City’s poor form, Gills boss Steve Lovell knows they will be up against it.
Bradford were beaten 2-0 by Doncaster Rovers on Monday night, leaving them without a win in their last 10 games in League 1.
Even a change of manager hasn’t kicked their form on, with new boss Simon Grayson yet to taste a win in four attempts.
Lovell said: “This will be a tough one, especially with them not being on their best run of form. They will be looking to reboot their season.
“They will still fancy their chances of getting into those play-offs.”
Bradford are one of the division’s best supported teams, attracting close to 20,000 to Valley Parade.
But the Gills won’t be worried about that, silencing a sold-out Fratton Park last time out to beat Portsmouth 3-1.
Lovell said: “They have good support, especially at home. It is a big pitch and they are a team that before the season started would have been one of the favourites to get promoted.
“It will be a very tough game for us but one we are looking forward to again. We will prepare properly for the challenge.
“If you can silence the crowd and get an early goal it does help but it doesn't seem to affect our boys, the big stadiums and whether they are on top or we are on top, we just approach it the same way. Hopefully we can come out of the blocks and give it a good go.”
