League 2 title-winning manager Martin Allen and captain Adam Barrett are back in town to tell tales of their championship exploits.
Tomorrow night (Thursday, February 10) sees a special event to celebrate the club’s 2012-13 season where the Gills finished top of the league, a feat that Allen described at the time as “the best highlight of my career.” It takes place at the Lordswood Sports & Social Club and tickets are still available.
It will be an opportunity for Allen - known to many as Mad Dog - and his old captain Adam Barrett - currently no.2 at Millwall - reunite for the first time in just under 10 years to talk all things Gills, and especially the key stories of that season together.
Allen might even bring his new dog, Dennis.
The night also includes a chance to meet and greet the pair and have photos along with the chance to get items signed. There will be a raffle for some Gills prizes, along with some acquired by Allen himself.
Last week, previewing the event (see below), Allen said: "I can't wait to get among the Gills supporters. We will share stories and be open and honest and tell it how it is."
The open Q&A wraps it all up, with a chance to share memories and questions with the pair. Entry to this great evening is just £12 and available online at gillslegends.eventbrite.co.uk
