NEIL RENAULT of Medway and Maidstone AC really came of age at the Flora London Marathon on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Kent marathon champion motored through 10k in 32.48 and halfway in 70.04 on his way to a magnificent 17th overall in 2.23.44, the sixth British athlete to cross the finish line in The Mall.

Paddock Wood also had cause to celebrate when Tina Oldershaw finished strongly for 73rd place in the women's race in a personal best 3.02.41.
