Chatham boss Kevin Hake knows they need to put together a run of results to get back in the chase for promotion.
Sunday’s 1-0 loss at Potters Bar left Chatham 12 points adrift of the play-off places in Isthmian Premier. Steve Cawley scored the only goal on 61 minutes.
Chats went 11 games without a defeat before Christmas - but inconsistency has hampered their hopes since then.
Hake’s side have lost three and won one since the turn of the year.
A home game against strugglers Hastings United this Saturday is a chance for them to once again get on a positive run of results and close in on the top five.
Hake said: “Sunday was a difficult one to take. Despite getting into some nice areas and creating some good chances, particularly in the first half an hour, the final ball or finish was not up to standard.
“It’s disappointing but we have an opportunity to start to put things right at home against Hastings on Saturday.
