Medway Area Sunday League round-up (06/11/22)

The goals flowed as Athletic Bilbowls moved to within a point of top spot in Division 5 on Sunday.

Athletic thrashed Anchorians Rovers 11-1 with hat-tricks from Marcus Sutton and Reif Youdale, supported by Jordan Meikle, Rhys Sullivan, Kyle Shaw, Jack Clover and Harry Groves.

The only game in Division 4 saw Sam Knights net the only goal for Your Move Chatham against Rochester Eagles.

Bredhurst Juniors United are up to third in Division 3 following a 5-3 win over Eagles Gold.

Charlie Coppard (2), Toby Jarvis, Josh Rosamond and Harvey Green scored for Bredhurst with Joe Camber and Freddy Gardner (2) replying.

Alex Ellis scored four goals with Shane Mitchell also on the scoresheet for Medway Rovers 20 in a 5-1 victory over Pegasus 81.

In Division 2, Hempstead United moved up to second with a 3-2 win over The Walnut Tree. Harry Hatton (2) and Callum Burton scored for United with Neal Parkes and Robert Davies replying.

Cantium lost 11-1 to Cliffe Woods Colts A, who scored through Jack Burnham (2), Kieran Stanard, Matt Wills (3), Simon Bye (2), Jordan Friend, Mike Baker and Jack Norris

Division 1 leaders FC Catalans edged past Riverside 3-2 thanks to Sam Heard, Jack Gill and Ryan Fuller.

Ordnance Athletic are up to second after Iffie Famoriyo (3), Martin Mwaungnlu, Malchi Benjamin, Erikas Ivasauskas, Caleb Afoke and Caleb Bearman-Dyce scored in an 8-1 win over Swallow Rise 93.

Darland Spartans took over top spot in the Premier Division with a 4-2 triumph over Rainham Kenilworth Athletic. Dylan Budge, Kane Hutton (2) and Shaun McGlauglin netted for Darland with Jack White and an own goal replying.

Danny Grant, Lewis Bell, Richard Horvarth and Kamari Murrey were on target for Chatham Town SR in their 4-1 win over Cuxton 91, whose reply was an own goal.

In the Senior League Cup, Liam Ogle (2), Matthew Cowlam, Lewis Austin and James Hutchings all netted for Borden Park Wanderers in their 5-4 success against Bells. David Abe, Emmanuel Oli, Rudolf Brentah and Ola Quadri replied for Bells

Cliffe Woods Colts shaded Star Meadow 4-3 thanks to Ozan Hassan (2), Robbie Summerhayes and Joe Simpson. Harvey Brown (2) and Tom Brown replied for Star Meadow.

In the Junior League Cup, AFC Shorne progressed to the next round after defeating The Stumble 8-2 thanks to Sam Hunt (2), Chris Eggleton (2), Aman Gill, Phil Reeves, Zach Chin Yue and Adam Grimwood. Jordan Reynolds scored both goals for The Stumble.

Craig Haynes (4), Aaron Parkes (2), Sam Clarkson and Martin Stimpson were on target in The Stag’s 8-3 victory over Pentagon, for whom James Brightwell (2) and an own goal replied.

There were Junior League Trophy hat-tricks for London Road duo Joseph White and Aaron Saffery. Jake Everitt (2), Ben Saffery, James Saffery and Jack Gooding were also on the scoresheet in their 11-2 victory over New Road Athletic.

Medway Sports XI lost 9-3 to AEI Sports Sundays, whose goals came from Mason Odds (3), Moses Alausa (2), Alfielee Donovan (2), Callum Gridley and Lewis Odds.
