Medway Area Sunday League round-up (03/12/23)

Division 1 leaders Rainham Kenilworth were in seventh heaven after defeating Swallow Rise on Sunday.

Kenilworth ran out 7-1 winners thanks to Yeni Yusuph (3), Yomi Yusuph, Ben Hussey, Craig Cooley and Ryan Jones.

Sam Crayford and Jordan Gower netted for FC Catalans in their 4-2 defeat to second-placed Springfield Park, whose goals came from Alfie Sherwood, Danny Hughes, Scott Higgins and Jack Barton.

There was just one game in the Premier Division as Rainham Kenilworth Athletic and Medway Invicta drew 2-2, Jack Jenkins and Callum Smith were on target for Kenilworth.

In Division 2, Kye Humphrey, Ryan Capon and Richard Humphrey goals were not enough for ASK Medway as they went down 5-3 to third-placed Cliffe Woods Colts A, who scored through Jack Burnham (3), Joe Reynolds and Ben Hawley.

The prolific Jack Thompson bagged another hat-trick in Pentagon’s 5-4 victory over Swallow Rise 93 Reserves with Logan Currie and Bradley Killick also netting. Danny Proctor, Hayden Leonard, Callum Leonard and Joe Mpyadora scored for the visitors.

Real 60 went down 6-2 to Eagles after doubles by George Owen and Callum Sawyer with George Beadle and Charlie Grogan adding to their tally.

Division 3 Eagles Gold and The Walnut Tree played out a goalless draw.

Swayze Whale’s hat-trick and Jack Watkin-Everitt led Pegasus 81 to a 4-3 win against Bredhurst Juniors United.

The goals flowed for Tunbury Athletic in Division 4 as they thrashed Bredhurst Juniors 12-0 thanks to Danny Cox (5), Danny Stevens, Matthew Parker (2), Daniel Whiting (2) and Matthew Neilson (2).

Jay Rogers claimed the lone strike for Milton & Fulston Zebras in their 4-1 loss to Cross Park. Adam Stone, Sean Turner, Ewan Graham and Marshall Kitchen scored for the victors.

In a game of eight goals, Rochester Eagles came out on top, winning 5-3 against Your Move Chatham with goals from Ryan Badham, Mason Spear Tom Bicker, Alex Mason and James Spencer. Liam Green, Carl Moson and Aaron Cook replied for Your Move Chatham.

Leaders AEI Sports Sundays had an emphatic 9-0 victory over The Stumble, Tom Brown, Riley Goatham, Lewis Odds, Mason Odds (2), Moses Acausia, Mo Kamara (2) and Jordan Herbert were all on target.

Division 5 Westfield Sole won 5-0 at Strood thanks to Dan Rayment, Ryan May, Liam Baker, Alex Faulkes and James Hurcomb.

Jonjoe Langley, Steve Batt, James Stock and Ronny Whittaker were all on target in New Road Athletic’s 4-2 win against Anchorians Rovers, who replied through Matt Barber and Nathan Taylor.

In the Junior Charity Cup, Jason Manderson, Elliott Dorey, Aaron Scott, Ben Eastwood and Matthew Peters all found the net in Medway United’s 5-2 victory over Hempstead United, who replied through Tom Arnold and Joe Spedding.
