Medway Area Sunday League round-up (03/11/24)

Ask Medway won the Junior Challenge Trophy Final after a dramatic finale against Springhead Park Reserves.

Medway equalised with the last kick of the game to make it 2-2 before going on to win the resulting penalty shoot-out 4-3.

Jae Humphrey and Josh Waters were on target for Ask Medway with Harjinder Shokar and a Bradley Goldstone penalty replying for Springhead.

Coop Cobras had Tagen Jarvis (2) and Jonjoe Langley to thank for their 3-1 Andy Groves Memorial Cup first round win over Medway United, whose goal came from Aaron Scott.

Cross Park lost 8-0 to New Road Athletic as Danny Davies (3), Ronny Whittaker (2), Danny Solari, Joseph Girt and Omar Walker all netted for the victors.

In league action, Division 5 Woodcoombe won 5-1 against Deagal with goals from Kyle Marriot (2), Jordan Spicer, Alex Forster and George Baker-Moran.

Alex Lloyd scored for The Simon Massive and Medway United West had Max Thorne on the scoresheet during their 1-1 draw.

In Division 4, Jack Downey (3), Harry Smith (2), Ronnie Porter (2) and George Hennessey all found the net in Wigmore Wanderers’ 8-0 win against Hempstead Valley.

Anchorians Rovers and Bredhurst Juniors drew 1-1, Usman Amin scoring for Anchorians Rovers with James Hurcomb replying.

Jamie Mallion (3), Shane Pay, Max Wilson, Rhys Johnson and an own goal led River to a 7-1 victory over Palmerston Athletic.

Reece Bissenden (2), Liam Basham and Mitch Carey were on target in Rochester Eagles Reserves’ 4-1 victory Walderslade WMC.

In Division 3, Hempstead United went down 4-0 to Omega 92, who had Zak Baker, Rob Hendry and Chris Last (2) on the scoresheet.

Jack Watkin-Everitt (3), Swayze Whale (2), Declan Fox, Carl Smith and Billy-Lee Conway were all on target in Pegasus 81’s 8-0 victory against Kent Marina.

Dave Withey scored for Rainham 84 but they went down 7-1 to Woodpecker, who had Luqman Adesina (3), Sam Crayford, Jack Dye, Harry Aldum and Brandon Neal to thank for the points.

Rochester Eagles and Real 60 shared the points and six goals in a 3-3 draw. Jack Vince, Jason Clark and Jacob Dufour netted for Eagles with Kai Osborne (2) and Rhys Nolan replying for Real 60.

Ethan Graham’s goal was not enough for The Stumble in a 3-1 loss to Eagles Gold, for whom Callum Smith (2) and Cain Sales were their marksmen.

Daryl Herbert- Smith claimed the only goal of the game for Division 2 AEI Sports against Westfield Sole while Jason Yuen scored both goals in The Walnut Tree’s 2-1 win at Bredhurst.

Reece Germano netted for Caspian Tigers but they went down 3-1 to Eccles Sunday, who scored through Glenn Moyes, Curtis Granger and Toby Lindley.

Joe Lawrence (2), Archie Lawrence and Austin Edwards were on target in Sporting Club Libra’s 4-2 win against Cliffe Woods Colts A.

In Division 1, Callum Sawyer (2), Charlie Overton and an own goal led Eagles to a 4-2 victory against Borstal Wanderers.

Tom Carter (2), Jordon Burton and Jack Clover were on the scoresheet for Athletic Bilbowls in their 4-0 victory over Swanscombe Tigers.

FC Catalans lost 2-1 to Anchorians Athletic despite finding the net through Jordan Gower.

Harley Gorse was on fire with four goals as Premier Division Cliffe Woods Colts ran out 6-0 winners at Chatham Town SR, Dean Hughes and Ozan Hassan completed their tally.

Springhead Park were shaded 5-4 by Quested. Connor Baldock (2), Scott Higgins and Ainsley Linton scored for Springhead but Frazer Rogers (2), Danny Kedwell, Preston Kedwell and Tom Davey found the net for Quested.
