Medway Area Sunday League round-up (05/01/25)

Eagles Gold are up to second following a 9-2 win at Omega 92 in Division 3 of the Medway Area Sunday League.

Goals came from Cain Sales (3), Callum Marshall, Aman Pal, Josh Gray, Lewis Sutton, Riley Beaumont and Teddy Ward while Steve Bell and Lee Gambell claimed the Omega 92 consolations.

New Road Athletic are up to second in Division 4 following a 7-0 victory over Palmerston Athletic. Danny Ball (3), Omar Walker (2), Ronny Whittaker and Danny Solarii were all on target.

Bredhurst Juniors shaded Walderslade WMC 5-4 in an entertaining game with goals from Mitchell Wilson, Dave Withey (2) and Sam Russel (2). Luke Darling (2), Sam Kellier and Dominic Jones netted for the visitors.

In Division 5, The Co Op Cobras had Tagen Jarvis (3) and JonJoe Langley to thank for their 4-1 win against Woodcoombe.

Freddy Gardener (2), Corben Ager and Robert Quelch were The Gentlemen’s marksmen in their 4-3 victory over The Simon Massive.

In the Andy Groves Memorial Cup third round, James Lundie, Jack Downey and George Hennessy were on the scoresheet in Wigmore Wanderers’ 3-2 win over Rochester Eagles, for whom Jack Vince scored twice.

In the League Cup quarter-final, Jordan Friend and Malachi Benjamin saw Cliffe Woods Colts A through with a 2-1 win against The Walnut Tree, George Baker replying.

In the quarter-final of the Junior League Trophy, goals from Reece Bissenden (2) and Justin Lacy were not enough for Rochester Eagles Reserves as they went down 5-3 to Medway United.
