Glenn Morris admits he’s in the dark about his Gills future.
Morris has started Gillingham’s last five games and enjoyed his first clean sheet in the league for the club on Saturday.
The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is hoping to earn a new deal.
“I haven’t got a clue (about the future),” said Morris. “It will be in their (the management’s) hands as to what happens.
“All I can do is concentrate on playing and in the future hopefully something will happen but I don’t know.
“It is not down to me. I can only do what I do on a Saturday and in training and impress the management team and the club. They will have to make their decision.
“You want security and you want to know where you will be but that is football. It’s been like that for me over the last five or six years.”
The Gills beat Bradford 1-0 on Saturday and Morris pulled off a number of good saves.
Morris will be up against it again on Tuesday when the Gills take on second-placed Preston.
“That is going to be tough,” he said. “If we get anything from that game, without being negative, it would be a bonus.
“They are going for promotion and it will be a struggle but it should be enjoyable.
“There is no pressure. You have to enjoy games like that. There aren’t many times you get to go and play infront of a massive crowd, in the league, on a nice pitch. We will definitely enjoy it.”
