Invicta Dynamos stretched their unbeaten run to 13 games with another winning weekend.
A 6-1 win at London Raiders on Saturday in the league was followed up by a 6-4 home victory over the Wightlink Raiders in the Southern Cup.
Czech import Jakub Klima got the weekend off to a good start, scoring with just over a minute gone in the opening game, but he heading for the exit door by the middle of the weekend.
Klima, with seven goals in 15 games, hadn’t made the impact coach Kevin Parrish had wanted this season and a new face is expected in the building this week.
It was to be Klima’s last goal for the Mos, and it had got them off to a great start, but the Raiders levelled things up before the end of the first.
That was to be the host’s only goal of the night and efforts from Dan Fudger and Nicky Lewis in the second period put the Mos back incharge.
In the final period, Mos wrapped up the points, with Lewis, Arran Strawson and Juraj Huska all on target in the win which took Parrish’s side two points clear at the top of ENIHL Division 1 South.
Just 18 seconds were on the clock when the Mos hit their first against their Isle of Wight visitors at Silverblades on Sunday. Fowler was the man on target and Nicky Hammond made it 2-0 moments later.
Slovakian Forward Huska made it 3-1, to dent hopes that the Raiders had of levelling things up.
A disappointing second period for the Dynamos saw the visitors get on level terms.
Fudger made it 4-3 in the third session and back came the visitors again, before Huska’s double finally finished the opposition off and handed another two points to Parrish’s inform team.
