Invicta Dynamos got their season started with a four-point weekend.
A 9-7 win over league newcomers Oxford City Stars on Saturday was followed by a 7-6 victory over Bracknell Hornets the following day.
Dynamos’ Andy Smith got the season underway with the opening goal on 2.26 and he went onto score three more on the night.
Oxford had hit back to go 2-1 up but Callum Fowler levelled by the end of the first.
Osman put the Gillingham side 3-2 up and Smith’s second made it 4-2. Fowler teed up Adam McNicoll for a fifth, shortly after Oxford had pulled one back.
In the third period, Juraj Huska netted, Smith slotted in two more and Mustangs’ Danny Terry got his first for the club.
On Sunday, Fowler got the scoring underway but it was all-square by the end of the first period.
By the end of the second Invicta led 5-2, with a double from Smith and strikes from Nicky Lewis and Fowler.
Bracknell fought back in the third, going 6-5 up, but goals from Fowler and Huska ensured the points went to the Mos.
