Gillingham are hoping to do what no other League 1 team has been able to do this season – win at Bradford.
The Bantams have won six and drawn nine of their 15 home fixtures this term as they push for promotion.
Gills boss Ady Pennock would be thrilled to end that run but doesn’t believe it gives his men any more incentive.
He said: “They are professional footballers and in every game you should want to go out and have that incentive to win a game of football.
“That is the winning mentality they should have, that burning desire in their stomach.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s Bradford, Oldham or Coventry, whoever we play we have to have that winning mentality and hunger."
The Gills have yet to win under Pennock, with draws against Sheffield United and Shrewsbury following defeat to Oldham. Last weekend’s game against the Shrews at least gave Pennock encouragement and he believes the club are moving in the right direction.
He said: “I took a lot of encouragement from last weekend. We could have been three goals up at half-time but credit to them, they came out second half and had a right go.
“We sat back but overall a draw was a fair result although we could have nicked it with Max Ehmer’s chance at the end. The effort was there again and there were some good performances.
“Our shape has been good, the work ethic has been fantastic and there is a togetherness.
“When people are working for each other, that’s the biggest thing. There has been improvements and I am pleased.”
