Nancy Shepherd secured a gold medal at the prestigious Golden Girl competition in Sweden.
Shepherd, who boxes for Kent Gloves ABC in Gillingham, was taking part in this competition for the third year running, winning a gold and a silver medal previously.
This time around, after all the opponents withdrew in her original weight group, she had to box those above under-57kg.
On the Saturday, she drew the favourite in the competition, an opponent from the Czech Republic and a two-time European medallist.
A punch-perfect display led to a win with all of the judges giving her the nod.
In the finals, she was up against a tough and game opponent from London but once again displayed her skills and put on a dominant performance, giving her opponent a standing count in the first and third rounds.
All of the judges again gave the bout to Shepherd on a unanimous decision.
Nancy’s father and coach David Shepherd said: “I’m over the moon with Nancy’s progression and she is now multi-national champion, the reigning number one in England and has furthered her CV with these wins in the Box Cup.”
