Gillingham striker Liam Nash is reportedly on trial with League of Ireland Premier Division side Cork City.
Nash, 23, has not featured for the Gills in the league this season, limited to just one Checkatrade Trophy appearance and is understood to have been with Cork City during their pre-season training camp in Kerry.
The striker scored twice in City’s win over Killarney Celtic on Thursday and, after being named in their team for Friday night’s match against the Kerry District League, he scored again.
Former Maldon & Tiptree striker Nash is a free agent in the summer and could well be about to follow Conor Wilkinson out of the club, after he recently moved to Dagenham.
The League of Ireland begin their new season in mid-February and Nash was said to be in action in a friendly match, scoring twice on his debut in the side.
Nash recently returned to the Gills following a loan spell with Concord Rangers but has not been able to work his way back into Steve Lovell’s team. The striker has made 15 appearances for the Gills since moving to Priestfield in the summer of 2017, but has not registered a goal for the club.
His loan at Concord came after an earlier spell with Hampton & Richmond this season.
