Invicta Dynamos return to the Coventry Sky Dome for this weekend’s English National League play-off finals as champions of the competition.
The Mos won a dramatic National League final on Sunday night in Coventry against the Sheffield Scimitars.
It was the first time the club had beaten the Sheffield side in 11 meetings, after winning on penalty shots, and the two teams could come face to face again this weekend.
Head coach Kevin Parrish was delighted to finally see off the Scimitars and knows his side will be going into this weekend’s four-way play-off event as favourites.
Parrish said: “It feels like a very big weight has been lifted off our shoulders and it’s a big relief.
“It was good to win and the boys thoroughly enjoyed it afterwards. They worked so hard they deserved to enjoy themselves.
“I imagine the bookies would make us favourites. Sheffield won the ENIHL Cup but we’re the national champions and I would take that every time."
Dynamos face Bracknell Hornets in one of the two play-off semi-finals on Saturday, with the winners taking on either Sheffield or Nottingham in Sunday’s final.
