Gillingham will welcome Charlton to Priestfield for a pre-season meeting this summer.
In what is expected to be one of two matches at Priestfield in July, the Gills will entertain Dean Holden’s League 1 side on Tuesday, July 18 (7.30pm).

The Gills confirmed on Monday that they travel to National League Dagenham & Redbridge in what looks set to be the final run-out during pre-season as they warm up for what they hope will be a push for promotion next term.
Neil Harris’ men will visit Dagenham on Saturday, July 29 (3pm kick off).
Gillingham have announced most of their summer itinerary - including a trip to the Italian resort of Como - but they are expected to have another game at Priestfield before the season begins, potentially playing at home on Saturday, July 15.
Fans have been booking their trips to Italy following the club’s announcement of a game against Serie B side Como on Wednesday, July 12 (1pm).
Como are managed by Marc Bircham - who was previously linked to the hot-seat at Priestfield. Their president Dennis Wise is a long-time friend of director Paul Scally while Gills striker Lewis Walker previously played for them.
Gills fans who make the trip have also been invited to an open training session the day before the friendly match.
Later in the month Neil Harris’ side will be facing a Dagenham side managed by former Gills striker Ben Strevens.
Dagenham’s Chigwell Construction Stadium will be familiar to Gills fans who watched the FA Cup match against the non-league side in November last year. That game ended 1-1 and the Gills went onto win the replay at Priestfield and live televised date with Leicester City in the next round.
Gillingham will report back to training at the end of this month and will head to National South side Dover Athletic on Saturday, July 8 (1pm). The Gills fly to Italy the following day and return on Thursday the 13th.
A Gills XI will play at Chatham on Friday, July 14 (7.45pm) ahead of an expected senior game on the Saturday.
National South side Tonbridge Angels host a Gills XI on Tuesday, July 18 (7.45pm) – while a more senior side take on Charlton – and there will be another chance for fringe players to impress when Isthmian South East outfit Sheppey United welcome a Gillingham side to Holm Park on Friday, July 21 (7.45pm).
Gillingham play National South Dartford the following day, Saturday, July 22 (1pm) and there will also be a team taking on former manager Steve Lovell’s Herne Bay, with a 3pm kick off.
There’s a midweek slot available on week commencing July 24. A Gills XI will be taking on Lordswood in a friendly on Tuesday July 25 (7.45pm). Harris has indicated he will be looking to play a match behind closed doors.
Gillingham’s League 2 season kicks off on the weekend of Saturday, August 5 and the first round of the Carabao Cup takes place during the midweek, commencing August 7. Fixtures are released on Thursday, June 22.
