Stuart Nelson will remain in goal for Gillingham’s trip to Fleetwood.
A groin injury picked up by on-loan Reading keeper Jonathan Bond keeps him out of Saturday's game.
Bond aggravated an injury he first picked up during Gills’ EFL Cup match at Tottenham last month.
Nelson came off the bench and impressed during the hour he played against Charlton last Saturday.
Gills boss Justin Edinburgh said: “It has been a little stop-start for him (Bond). You are bringing players in from outside of their first team, who probably didn’t have an intense pre-season and probably didn’t play many minutes.
“He will definitely miss Saturday but someone’s disappointment can be someone’s opportunity. Nelson took it with both hands. That is the character of Stu and the advantage of having the squad we have got this year.”
Ryan Jackson is also suffering with a groin injury and is a doubt for this weekend. He was replaced late on against Charlton.
With Deji Oshilaja returning from suspension, he could slot back into central defence, allowing Chris Herd to take over at right-back.
Captain Josh Wright is also back from a one-game ban while Scott Wagstaff is pushing for a return after his groin injury.
