The 24-year-old joined the Gills in January 2023 from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee and was voted players’ player-of-the-year last season.
He’s played 61 games for the Gills so far and is delighted to have extended his deal at Priestfield.
He said: "I have enjoyed my time so far.
“The club is on the right path both on and off the pitch and I am very happy here.
"I felt it was the right thing to do for my career at this point. I feel good - it's the right fit at the right time."
Coleman came through Tuesday night’s match against Peterborough unscathed and is expected to be available for the weekend trip to Doncaster Rovers.
