Chatham boss Kevin Watson hopes his clutch of new signings can help bring the club some results.
Defender Richard Davies, on loan from Maidstone United, is set to become the latest to make his Chats debut.
Watson’s side, who lost 1-0 at home to Heybridge last Saturday, are away to Soham Town Rangers tomorrow (Saturday).
“We haven’t done well enough in our first 20 games which is why we are where we are in the league,” said Watson.
“I try not to have too many players in the squad but we’ve brought a few in and hopefully that will strengthen us.”
Chatham are eager to pull clear of the relegation places at the foot of Ryman League, Division 1 North but have won just once in their last 13 league games.
Davies was out for a year with a cruciate injury and the Stones are keen for him to get minutes at Chatham to continue his recovery.
The 21-year-old is well thought of at Maidstone and made an appearance, off the bench, in their recent FA Cup second round defeat at Wrexham.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “After the year he’s had out it’s important he gets a good run of first team games and I cannot guarantee that here. Richard is very much in my plans for the future and this month will only benefit him, ourselves and Chatham.”
