Cup winners? League champions? Or is your team making a major impact in a competitive arena?
The Junior Team of the Year category at the Medway Sports Awards always highlights some of the most consistent performers in the area.
With so many potential teams who could be nominated, competition is bound to be fierce – so make sure your team is in the mix and get your nomination in now.
Here’s a taster of two teams already in the running for honours.
Borstal Cricket Club under-15s won both the Medway League and the cup final, which was held at Mote Park, while boasting a 100% festival record with four victories.
This is a remarkable achievement by a group of lads from various backgrounds who have come together to form a solid unit.
Synchronised trampolining duo Victoria Wynn and Daina Rose have come into their own in the last couple of years.
Competing in trampoline, double mini trampoline and synchro across four competitions, Wynn has returned six gold medals and a bronze.
They are the highest-ranked duo for their age group in Britain, under-19 girls, even though Wynn is 16 and Rose 17.
Wynn trains five to six times a week and Rose trains three to four times a week, underlining their commitment to the sport.
This year’s gala awards evening will take place on Friday, December 12 at Rochester’s Corn Exchange with Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford the guest of honour.
Rutherford holds the British record for the long jump, was crowned best in the world at the 2012 Olympics in London and won gold at this year’s Commonwealth Games.
There are 11 categories, including a new award recognising achievements in officiating, umpiring or refereeing.
A Lifetime Contribution Trophy will also be awarded, in addition to the unveiling of a new Medway Sport Hall of Fame.
To nominate your club, team or coach, or for more information, visit www.medway.gov.uk/sportsawards. The closing date for entries is October 31.
