Finn O'Mara joins Folkestone on loan and fellow Gillingham youngster Bradley Stevenson joins Cray

Finn O'Mara is the latest Gillingham youngster to leave on loan.

Defender O'Mara, 18, has joined Folkestone Invicta on a month's loan, a move that follows the recent exit of both Bradley Stevenson and Tom Hadler.

All were involved with the Gills during pre-season.

O'Mara was on the bench for Gillingham in their first two fixtures but heads out following the recent arrival of experienced defender Ben Nugent.

Pennock said: "I thought it would be a good opportunity for Finn to go out and get some consistent game time under his belt.

"He was impressive during pre-season and hopefully the experience will be of benefit to him.”

Stevenson hasn't featured in the first team squad this season for the Gills. He played for Cray in their recent 0-0 draw with Phoenix Sports but was left out of their FA Cup match against Sevenoaks, ensuring he isn't cup-tied.

Goalkeeper Tom Hadler recently joined Gloucester City on loan, making his debut last Saturday in a 1-0 win over Hemel Hempstead.
